About the position

As a barista at Starbucks, you will create a welcoming and engaging experience for customers by providing excellent service and expertly-crafted beverages. This role emphasizes teamwork, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to learn and master various food and beverage recipes while connecting with customers and contributing to a positive store atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Create the Starbucks Experience for customers through excellent service and expertly-crafted products.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide a pleasant communication experience.
• Prepare food and beverages according to standard recipes or customized for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Handle cash and ensure store safety and security.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve store goals.

Requirements

• No previous experience required.
• Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including cash handling and safety protocols.
• Ability to learn quickly and understand oral and written instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service or food service environments.
• Knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation techniques.
