About the position

As a Barista at Odd One Out, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional tea experiences for customers. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting customers, preparing a variety of tea beverages, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the tea preparation area. You will also collaborate with team members to optimize service during busy periods and contribute creatively to the menu by experimenting with new flavors and tea trends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with a friendly demeanor, taking orders for tea creations.
• Skillfully prepare a variety of tea beverages, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Accurately measure and prepare ingredients, maintaining consistency in flavor and presentation.
• Adhere to cleanliness and hygiene standards, including daily cleaning of workstations.
• Ensure smooth operation of the tea preparation area, maintaining a clean workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow during peak hours.
• Stay updated with new tea trends and techniques to innovate beverage offerings.
• Contribute ideas for new and exciting tea creations.

Requirements

• Previous food and beverage experience, preferably with tea preparation or barista skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail in ingredient measurement and preparation.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders efficiently.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, or willingness to obtain a food handlers certificate.
• Creativity and passion for experimenting with flavors.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in guest services (1 year preferred).
• Barista experience (1 year preferred).
