About the position

The Barista position at Freelance Coffee Project involves providing exceptional customer service and creating specialty coffee drinks. As the face of the coffee shop, the Barista will enhance the customer experience through a friendly demeanor and barista expertise, while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee beverages.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.
• Educate customers about coffee selections and offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of coffee bar, space, and equipment.
• Restock supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and energetic atmosphere.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Follow all company procedures and policies, especially with respect to Safety and Food Safety.

Requirements

• 1 year of barista experience (Specialty coffee preferred) or similar environment.
• Knowledge of coffee, brewing methods, and latte art.
• Existing Food Handler's Certification or new certification within 30 days post-hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service (1 year preferred).
• Passionate about coffee, people, and creating hospitality experiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule and on weekends and holidays.
