As a Barista at Hotel Nia, you will be responsible for providing exceptional barista services that align with our established guest service and sustainability standards. Your role will involve taking coffee, beverage, and food orders, inputting these orders into the POS system, collecting payments, and preparing the orders to ensure a delightful experience for our guests. You will also be tasked with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the coffee cart areas and tables, completing opening and closing duties, and ensuring that all necessary supplies and tools are set up and cleaned appropriately. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to stock and maintain work areas, clean dishes, utensils, and equipment throughout the day, and manage cash handling by counting the bank at the end of your shift and completing designated cashier reports. Adhering to all state, federal, and corporate requirements related to food and alcoholic beverages is crucial, as is following company safety and security policies. You will also be required to report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to your manager and complete necessary safety training and certifications. Your commitment to sustainability will be reflected in your adherence to HHM's EarthView program guidelines and practices. This position requires a proactive approach to safe work habits, including wearing protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards. You will also be expected to perform other duties as requested by management, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.
