About the position
Kavasutra Kava Bar is a rapidly growing company that has opened over 30 locations nationwide since its inception in 2008. We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Bartenders/Barbacks. Our establishment specializes in serving kava, a natural sedative and muscle relaxer derived from the root of the kava plant, which is native to the South Pacific islands. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where all employees are considered part of our tribe. As a Bartender/Barback, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring that our bar operates smoothly. All necessary training related to kava will be provided, so prior experience with kava is not required. However, we do value candidates with a positive work ethic and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons.
- Carry inventory items and stock the bar as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Ensure basic food safety standards are met.
- Assist in preparing and serving kava and other beverages.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is required.
- Ability to carry inventory items and stock the bar.

- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a restaurant, bar, or coffee shop setting is preferred.
- Prior bartending experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
