About the position

As a bartender at the Hilton Alexandria Old Town, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently maintain bar supplies, which includes preparing daily requisitions as necessary. You must be well-versed in the various types of liquor, drink recipes, and pricing, as well as the proper glassware and garnishes required for each drink. Familiarity with accurate cash handling procedures is essential, including the use of the MICROS system or registers, bank procedures, and tip policies. You will be responsible for accurately charging guests for their drinks and ensuring the correct intake of all monetary transactions. In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to their requests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times. Resolving guest complaints effectively is also a key part of your role, ensuring guest satisfaction with each interaction. You will be required to complete formal training regarding liquor liability within the first 30 days of employment and continue this training every two years thereafter. Your ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere will be vital to the success of our bar operations.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction in each interaction.
  • Complete liquor liability training within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter.
