About the position

As a Bartender at the Martini Tree Bar, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable experience for our guests in the beautiful setting of Taos Ski Valley. Your primary responsibility will be to mix, garnish, and serve beverages according to established recipes and guest orders. You will need to anticipate the needs of guests and respond to their requests with politeness and enthusiasm, all while maintaining the vibrant and adventurous atmosphere that our mountain location offers. This position requires a commitment to responsible alcohol service and a comprehensive understanding of our beverage offerings, including food and drink recommendations, allergen information, and dietary considerations. In this fast-paced environment, you will be expected to prioritize and perform multiple job functions simultaneously, optimizing workflow to minimize ticket times. You will follow checklists and guidelines for opening and closing duties, maintain inventory levels, and communicate supply needs to your supervisor. Daily responsibilities include completing a bar prep list based on projected business levels, operating a high-volume point of sale register, and ensuring that all refrigeration and work areas are kept clean and sanitary in compliance with health department regulations. You will also be responsible for following recipes and portion sizes accurately to maintain ideal bar costs and minimize waste. Your role will also involve handling guest complaints and resolving grievances to ensure satisfaction. Reliable attendance on scheduled workdays is essential, and you may be asked to perform additional responsibilities as requested by management. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire.
  • Must have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handler Certification upon hire.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a high-volume bar preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the fundamentals of bartending.
  • Ability to read and employ math skills to follow recipes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and guests.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
