About the position

The Bartender position at The Ivy at Blue Oaks is a part-time role responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food in a friendly and courteous manner. This role is essential in enhancing the customer experience within a new assisted living and memory care community. The ideal candidate will contribute to building a positive culture and provide exceptional service to residents, family members, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to residents, family members, and visitors.
• Serving residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately taking residents' and guests' food and beverage orders and entering them into the POS system.
• Setting up and breaking down tables in the dining area.
• Assuring compliance with proper serving techniques and etiquette.
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Encouraging teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and residents.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in preparing cocktail drinks and developing new ones.
• Experience in customer service is preferred but not necessary.
