About the position

The Bartender position at Blue Oak involves providing excellent service to casino guests by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring responsible alcohol service. The role requires maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Serve Casino guests in a pleasant and efficient manner while maintaining excellent service.
  • Prepare all food and beverage items in accordance with prep sheets and standard recipes.
  • Display all food and merchandise in accordance with ServSafe and other regulatory standards.
  • Maintain inventory and supplies, preparing food based on business volumes and as directed by Supervisors using par levels.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system effectively.
  • Adhere to cash-handling practices as per Casino-wide Food and Beverage Policies and Procedures.
  • Inspect and confirm the legitimacy of CA driver's licenses or ID cards, checking IDs of all bar guests that appear under the age of 30.
  • Provide safe and responsible alcohol service, closely controlling alcohol portioning.
  • Count cash, separate charge slips, and prepare bank deposits.
  • Ensure dining area tables are properly cleaned and maintained throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times, including food and display equipment.
  • Ensure all display cases and refrigerators are clean and stocked throughout the shift.
  • Maintain an organized work area for convenient guest interaction and safety.
  • Maintain knowledge and answer guest questions regarding all food venues, beverage service, and Casino-related information.
  • Assess each guest and recognize their needs for purchase.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, unless otherwise waived by Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum of two years working in the food and beverage and/or hospitality industry required.
  • 2-3 years of Bartender experience required, unless otherwise waived by hiring manager/supervisor.
  • Must obtain a certificate of safe alcohol server training as required.
