About the position

The Bartender/Server position is designed for a professional and energetic individual who excels in communication and customer service. The role involves serving a variety of beverages and food items, engaging with customers to understand their preferences, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for upselling menu items, creating new drink recipes, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and determining their beverage preferences.
• Making recommendations and taking drink orders.
• Planning drink and food menus, informing customers about new beverages and specials.
• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages and food.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked.
• Adhering to food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash and cleaning tables.
• Developing new cocktail recipes.

Requirements

• 1 year of serving experience (preferred).
• 1 year of restaurant experience (preferred).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in serving without a high school diploma/GED.
