About the position

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at Playwright Pub/Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. This role involves crafting beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring a memorable experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and responding to inquiries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
• Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations while preparing drinks.
• Assist with catering events or banquets as needed, ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while demonstrating basic math skills for tab calculations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to create a cohesive dining experience.

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience is preferred, particularly in fine dining or high-volume establishments.
• Knowledge of hospitality principles and practices within the food industry is essential.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts to manage tabs and inventory effectively.
• Understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in catering or banquet service is a plus but not required.
