Bartender/Server

About the position

We are seeking a skilled Server/Bartender to join our team at Northfork Tavern, a vibrant establishment in Eugene, OR. The ideal candidate should have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests, while efficiently managing drink preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with established recipes and procedures
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and equipment
• Check customers' identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
• Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system efficiently
• Monitor customer intake to prevent overconsumption and ensure a safe environment
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Lightspeed POS
• Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
• Previous experience in bartending or related roles is required
• Excellent customer service abilities to engage with patrons effectively
