About the position

The Bartender at SpringHill Suites Times Square is a service-oriented role focused on providing exceptional guest experiences through the preparation and serving of a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine. The ideal candidate will possess mixologist skills, a strong attention to detail, and a positive attitude, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area while engaging with guests to create memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Utilize bar tools effectively, including proper pours and glassware choices.
• Consistently and efficiently prepare classic cocktails and other beverages.
• Upsell and promote substitutes based on the bar's offerings.
• Deliver elevated service while executing bartending technical skills.
• Craft beverages with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Possess extensive knowledge of classic and modern cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits.
• Learn or create cocktail recipes tailored to guest preferences.
• Interact with guests to build regular clientele and maintain a knowledge database of preferences.
• Follow cleaning and checkout procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Handle cash accurately and process payments.
• Adhere to the M&R Employee Handbook rules and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years in a bartending role, crafting specialty cocktails in a high-volume environment.
• Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, coffee, tea, and spirits.
• Ability to utilize a turbo chef for preparing small bites at the bar.
• Knowledge of classic cocktail recipes.
• Proficiency in math and cash-handling skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
