About the position
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining the bar area, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments through the POS system, and manage tabs for customers.
- Engage with customers to take drink orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their experience.
- Monitor inventory levels of spirits, mixers, and garnishes; assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when necessary.
- Participate in promotional events or special occasions as required.
Requirements
- Strong cash handling skills with experience in using POS systems.
- Proficient in basic math for accurate cash management and drink pricing.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts relevant to inventory control and sales analysis.
- Excellent sales skills to promote menu items effectively.
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in nightclub or restaurant settings is preferred.
- Understanding of food safety standards to ensure compliance during beverage preparation.
