About the position

The Bartender at Courtyard by Marriott is responsible for providing prompt and courteous service to guests, ensuring an enjoyable experience while maintaining a clean and guest-ready appearance of the outlet. This part-time position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, as well as the ability to handle various tasks related to food and beverage service.

Responsibilities

• Offer prompt and courteous service to guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and guest-ready appearance of the outlet.
• Prepare and consistently maintain working area and supplies in a guest-ready atmosphere.
• Process guest charges and gratuities according to standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain safety and security practices and have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Ensure guests receive the highest quality product and service.
• Maintain liquor inventory regularly.
• Market and promote to increase exposure and sales.
• Train others for potential advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• One year experience in a food and beverage position.
• Experience with chain food and retail outlets preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent GED; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of menu items, preparation methods, and beverage choices.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of another language is a plus.
• Computer literate to operate property management systems.
