About the position

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at Adams St. Bar & Grill. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, ensuring that every guest has an exceptional experience. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining the bar area, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments through the POS system, and manage tabs for customers.
• Engage with customers to take drink orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their experience.
• Monitor inventory levels of spirits, mixers, and garnishes; assist in ordering supplies as needed.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when necessary.
• Participate in promotional events or special occasions as required.

Requirements

• 1 year of bartending experience
• 1 year of restaurant experience
• Strong cash handling skills with experience in using POS systems
• Proficient in basic math for accurate cash management and drink pricing
• Knowledge of brewing techniques and beverage preparation methods
• Familiarity with retail math concepts relevant to inventory control and sales analysis
• Excellent sales skills to promote menu items effectively
• Understanding of food safety standards to ensure compliance during beverage preparation.
