About the position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced bartender to join our team at a lively and vibrant full-service restaurant and bar. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bartending, delivering exceptional customer service, and creating delicious cocktails. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, engaging with customers, and maintaining a clean bar area while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a timely manner, following recipes and quality standards.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction and providing a memorable experience.
• Upsell and promote drink specials, new products, and food items to maximize sales and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning glasses, and restocking inventory as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during busy periods.
• Adapt to various situations and prioritize tasks to meet customer demands and maintain excellent service.
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of cocktails and be able to suggest and create innovative drink recipes.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, following proper cash-handling procedures.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, as well as alcohol service laws and policies.

Requirements

• Prior bartending experience in a similar casual full-service restaurant and bar environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential; must be committed to working scheduled shifts.
• Presentable appearance, including adhering to the dress code and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Professional demeanor and the ability to maintain a positive attitude, even during busy or challenging situations.
• Hospitality-oriented mindset, demonstrating genuine care for the well-being and satisfaction of customers.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply, in compliance with legal requirements.
• Team player mentality with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle various situations that may arise during service.
• Strong sales skills, including the ability to upsell and promote products.
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes and mixology techniques.
