About the position
Meridien Uptown in Centerville, Ohio is seeking a passionate and skilled Bartender to join their team as they prepare to open in Fall 2023. The role focuses on creating memorable experiences through exceptional service and cocktail preparation, fostering connections with guests, and contributing to a vibrant community atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Mix up your best concoctions and know how to make familiar favorites.
- Interact and entertain our guests, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
- Form relationships with our guests - assessing their needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
- Assist in development of bar menu.
- Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
Requirements
- Proven working experience as a bartender or mixologist.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.
- Relevant training certificate.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus.
