About the position

The Bartender at Bermuda Village is responsible for managing the bar area, ensuring cleanliness, inventory management, and providing excellent service to residents and guests. This role requires a compassionate approach to working with the elderly and effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the bar prior to opening and closing to ensure adequate supplies are available.
• Maintain a clean bar area and equipment.
• Maintain records and inventory of liquors, beer, and wine.
• Prepare garnishes, mixers, and pre-mixers.
• Work closely with the Dining Room Supervisor and Director of Hospitality.
• Cooperate with other servers and assist with meal service, including waiting tables and running food.
• Receive deliveries in accordance with purchase orders.
• Assist in daily cleanup of the bar.
• Be in uniform at all times during your shift.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor and/or Director of Hospitality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least six months of prior experience in hotels, restaurants, country clubs, or banquet facilities preferred.
• Supervisory experience is desirable.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to work responsibly as a team member and individually.
• Honesty, fairness, and dependability.
• Respect for confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
• Effective communication skills with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
