About the position
The Bartender at Buffalo Wild Wings in LaVale, Maryland, is responsible for creating a unique and personal experience for guests by effectively presenting food and beverage options. This role involves engaging with guests, preparing drinks, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area while adhering to company standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Make personal connections with Guests to create loyalty through engaging conversations
- Participate in Mystery Shop, GEM, and BARS program; follow Company Standard Operating Procedures for BARS program
- Check Guests' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Read and organize tickets to quickly and accurately serve Guests and manage large crowds
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages per the standards and specifications set forth in the Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain service, cleanliness, and operational responsibilities
- Follow Steps of Service and other Company Operating Procedures
- Buss, reset bar, restock caddies, and clean menus
- Stock bar and refill ice bin
- Remove debris and spills from the floor in assigned section
- Replace kegs and restock bottled beer and alcohol when necessary
- Monitor and manage bar inventory and cost control measures
- Ensure proper levels of inventory including stemware, glassware, garnishes, etc.
- Take food and beverage orders from Guests and prepare beverages for those guests as well as the servers' Guests
- Collect and accurately process Guest payments per the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Limit problems and liability related to customer excessive drinking by taking appropriate precautions
- Maintain clean and sanitary bar area, equipment, and blenders
- Perform FOH support opening and/or closing duties as required
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling payments and inventory management
