About the position

Frida's Kitchen & Bar is seeking an enthusiastic Bartender to join their team. The role involves crafting beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The ideal candidate should be bilingual in English and Spanish, with prior bartending experience or the ability to learn quickly. This position is crucial for ensuring patrons enjoy their time while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
• Engage with customers to take drink orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
• Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, restocking as necessary.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Assist in setting up for special events or banquets as needed.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills and Aloha POS system.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and drinks.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Previous experience in hospitality or bartending preferred but not required.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell beverages effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage with guests effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with banquet service is a plus.
