About the position

The Bartender at Osha Thai Kitchen & Sushi is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving drinks and food orders to guests at the bar and restaurant. This role requires a strong understanding of drink recipes, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean and organized bar environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drinks according to restaurant standard drink recipes accurately and quickly.
• Verify customer identification to ensure guests are of legal drinking age and comply with ABC regulations.
• Monitor and observe guests to anticipate their needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Provide extensive knowledge of the menu and ingredients to assist guests with food and beverage selections.
• Remove guest dinnerware, replenish utensils, refill water glasses, and respond to customer needs.
• Maintain bar stock and supplies, communicating inventory levels to management as necessary.
• Wash and sterilize glassware and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar.
• Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards.
• Process customer payments for guests at the bar.

Requirements

• Prior bartending experience required.
• Knowledgeable of ABC regulations and completed Server/Seller Training.
• Knowledgeable in beer, wine, liquor, and a wide range of cocktail recipes.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays).
• Understanding of safety and health procedures.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Basic math skills to handle customer payments and make change.
• Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
