About the position

The BAS Controls Channel Account Manager at Johnson Controls is responsible for driving product revenue and margin volume through the Building Solutions North America (BSNA) channel. This role involves selling the complete Johnson Controls product portfolio, with a focus on the innovative Metasys building automation system, while cultivating long-term relationships and seeking new sales opportunities. The position is remote but prefers candidates based in Utah, Colorado, Illinois, or Minnesota, and requires up to 50% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Grow product revenue and margin volume through the BSNA channel.
• Sell and support customers within aligned accounts to drive product revenue and margin results.
• Partner with key customers to achieve optimal sales goals.
• Recommend product solutions and strategies to branch sales teams.
• Focus on driving growth for new construction projects and modernization of existing products and systems.
• Leverage JCI offerings over competitors by understanding unique features and benefits.
• Conduct quarterly strategic account review sessions using Playbooks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in sales, preferably in building automation or related fields.
• Strong understanding of building control products and systems.
• Ability to cultivate and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in developing and executing sales plans.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Metasys and HVAC control products.
• Knowledge of the BSNA channel and its dynamics.
• Familiarity with strategic account management.
