About the position

The BAS Controls Channel Account Manager is responsible for driving product revenue and margin growth through the Building Solutions North America (BSNA) channel. This role involves cultivating long-term relationships, supporting sales of the Johnson Controls product portfolio, particularly the Metasys building automation system, and ensuring effective training and deployment of new product offerings. The position requires a strong focus on achieving sales objectives and maintaining key internal and external relationships, with a significant amount of travel expected.

Responsibilities

  • Grow product revenue and margin volume through the BSNA channel.
  • Support sales of the Johnson Controls product portfolio with a focus on the Metasys building automation system.
  • Cultivate and lead long-term relationships to seek out new sales opportunities.
  • Represent Global Products offerings during the sales process to the BSNA channel and end customers.
  • Deploy new product offerings and ensure channel training on products, features, value proposition, and pricing.
  • Deliver revenue and margin plans for assigned BSNA channel accounts.
  • Establish and sustain important internal/external relationships.
  • Drive product revenue and margin results and provide customer support on Building Control products.
  • Partner with key customers to reach optimal sales goals.
  • Conduct quarterly strategic account review sessions with customers.
  • Support project teams, pre-bid strategy, and scope review.
  • Provide accurate forecasting around monthly sales and communicate sales support needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of progressive, direct sales experience preferably in HVAC/Controls or a related industry.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
