About the position

The Base Aviation Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and operational readiness of helicopters used for air and ground medical services. This position involves performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various helicopter models, contributing to the overall mission of providing life-extending medical transport services.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily maintenance of helicopters at the base.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to airframes, rotors, and appliances.
  • Maintain helicopters to the highest standards possible.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of helicopter maintenance experience (open to all rotorcraft experience).
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid and current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification required.
  • Valid and current Driver's License required.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and EMS aviation practices preferred.
  • Maintenance experience on AS350, Bell 206, Bell 407, EC130, EC135 highly preferred.
  • Avionics troubleshooting knowledge and basic electrical repair experience required.
  • Aircraft systems knowledge required.
  • Aircraft records systems knowledge required.
  • Aircraft maintenance planning experience required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Capable of lifting 50lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Valid and current FAA Inspection Authorization preferred.
