About the position

The Base Services Manager is a critical role within the Oregon Air National Guard, responsible for evaluating, planning, organizing, and directing Base Services functions to support various missions. This position serves as the primary point-of-contact for Services-related programs and activities, ensuring combat readiness and effective management of resources and personnel. The incumbent will oversee food services, budget management, and coordination of training and operational plans, while also providing technical guidance to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, organize, and direct Base Services functions in support of federal, state, and local missions.
  • Ensure Services combat readiness through analysis, supervision, and implementation of Base Services programs.
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for wing Services matters, providing technical guidance to squadron commanders.
  • Manage the base Subsistence and Food Services Programs, including ordering and inspecting subsistence items.
  • Prepare and maintain a comprehensive annual budget and related contracts for Services training and supplies.
  • Maintain the Prime Readiness in Base Services (RIBS) Manager's guide and provide guidance for combat support during operations.
  • Prepare and review annexes to operations plans related to Services, implementing training and programs throughout the wing.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing Base Services functions and programs.
  • Ability to analyze operational capabilities and training requirements.
  • Experience in budget management and contract oversight.
  • Knowledge of food service operations and compliance standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in military or government service management.
  • Familiarity with the National Guard's operational procedures.
