About the position

The Baseball Player Development Coordinator / Business Operations position at UNCW is responsible for coordinating the operational logistics of the baseball program. This includes scheduling practices and game day activities, managing team travel, and performing administrative functions such as budget management and travel reconciliation. The role requires adherence to NCAA regulations and supports the Head Coach in leading a Division I program, focusing on player development activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operational logistics for the UNCW Baseball program.
• Schedule practices and game day activities.
• Assist in the coordination of all team travel.
• Perform administrative functions such as budget management and purchasing.
• Reconcile travel expenses.
• Enforce policies and procedures of the department and university, as well as NCAA rules and regulations.
• Manage daily player development activities, specifically for position players.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Possess high ethical standards and a commitment to student-athlete academic success.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's Degree with Division I coaching experience.
• Demonstrated success in recruitment of scholarship athletes.
• Certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
