The Baseball/Softball Program Coordinator at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City (BGCGKC) is a pivotal role responsible for the implementation and management of comprehensive youth baseball and softball programs for children aged 5 to 18. This position requires the coordinator to engage with community partners and represent the RBI Program at various community meetings, fostering collaborative relationships to enhance program visibility and participation. The coordinator will serve as a communication link between parents, schools, and community groups, educating them about the innovative services offered by the BGCGKC-RBI program. In addition to program implementation, the coordinator will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of the RBI programming in collaboration with Royals Charities. This includes supervising RBI athletic staff, managing program schedules, and facilitating the recruitment, selection, and orientation of parents, officials, and volunteer coaches. The coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating facility rentals, marketing initiatives, fundraising activities, and the procurement of necessary inventory and supplies. Furthermore, the role involves managing the maintenance and use of outdoor equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and accessible for all participants. The coordinator will act as a liaison to the Sports LAB Advisory Board, providing necessary materials and information to assist clubs in promoting and recruiting program participants. This position also entails managing the RBI budget and allocated funds in accordance with organizational guidelines, addressing public concerns, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The ultimate goal is to create an interactive and challenging program that meets the evolving needs of youth and their families in the community.
