About the position

The USABL Umpire Association (UUA) is seeking both new and experienced umpires for the 2025 season to officiate baseball and softball games across New Jersey, Rockland County (NY), Staten Island, and Eastern Pennsylvania. This role offers a flexible schedule with competitive pay and training opportunities for those new to umpiring.

Responsibilities

• Officiate youth to collegiate-level baseball and softball games.
• Determine the number of games to officiate based on personal availability.
• Attend mandatory training sessions as part of the Cadet Program for new umpires.
• Wear the official uniform and use appropriate equipment during games.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old in 2025.
• Ability to officiate games on weekends and weekdays as scheduled.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in umpiring baseball or softball games.
• Familiarity with the rules and regulations of baseball and softball.
