About the position

The Baylor College of Medicine is seeking Life Support Instructors to teach AHA certified life support courses, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). The role involves instructing learners, trainees, and faculty, as well as maintaining and preparing equipment for training sessions.

Responsibilities

• Instructs learners in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses.
• Maintain equipment for all courses including reporting of non-functioning equipment, troubleshooting, setup, and breakdown/storage of equipment at each course session.
• Sets up classroom, manikins, and equipment for training and prepares equipment for storage following training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED; preferred Bachelor's degree.
• Four years of relevant experience; no experience required with Bachelor's degree.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor Certification by the American Heart Association.
