About The Position
The Basic Skills Instructor at Walla Walla Community College (WWCC) is responsible for providing instruction in the Corrections Education program at the Washington State Penitentiary. This full-time position focuses on teaching adult learners in areas such as GED, English Language Acquisition (ELA), and Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (I-BEST). The instructor will utilize effective teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and ensure academic success, while adhering to the policies and security requirements of the Department of Corrections.
