About the position

The Batcher I position at O'Keeffe's Gg Brands Company involves the setup, weighing, blending, and cleanup of cream equipment and laboratory areas. This entry-level role is crucial for ensuring that all batching processes are conducted according to strict protocols, contributing to the production of high-quality products in a supportive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Follow strict protocols for the blending process.
• Ensure all batches are processed correctly and paperwork is filled out completely and accurately.
• Operate batching and filling equipment and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
• Pre-weigh chemicals for batching and complete necessary paperwork.
• Relieve for breaks when not batching.
• Enter data into spreadsheets using computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Assist in maintaining supplies by communicating with the O'Keeffe's Team Lead.
• Report and assist in resolving issues to the O'Keeffe's Team Lead or Production Supervisor.
• Participate in corporate and team Continuous Improvement events and activities.
• Perform other functions and duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Laboratory experience.
• Basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong work ethic and team attitude.
• High attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safe laboratory practices.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to learn about pumping, pipe work, and valves.
• Strong safety values.
• Understanding of viscosity and temperature importance.
• Ability to perform repetitive work.
