The Batching Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the batching operations within the organization. This position is responsible for coordinating the activities of a team of batching operators, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Reporting to the R&D Manager, the Coordinator facilitates seamless production processes by collaborating with various departments and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. In this role, the Coordinator will coordinate the daily activities of batching operators, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The Coordinator will oversee the accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients according to product specifications, optimizing batching and pre-weigh times. Ensuring compliance with recipes, formulas, and quality control standards is essential, and the Coordinator will conduct regular inspections and quality checks in collaboration with the Quality Control Department. Additionally, the Coordinator will coordinate with maintenance staff for equipment inspections and repairs, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of batching equipment. Collaborating with production planning to develop and implement batching schedules is also a key responsibility, optimizing production efficiency and coordinating with other departments. The Coordinator will support commercialization and new product development efforts, working closely with customers on quality and batch-making requirements. Maintaining accurate records of batching activities, generating production reports, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and industry standards are critical tasks. The Coordinator will implement and enforce quality SOPs for batching procedures, equipment usage, cleaning, and maintenance. Finally, fostering open communication within the team and across departments, reporting issues, concerns, and suggestions to upper management is vital for the success of this role.
