About the position
As a Groomer Trainee at PetSmart, you will embark on a career in pet grooming, starting with hands-on experience as a bather and progressing through a structured training program. This role allows you to build personal relationships with clients and their pets, providing grooming services that cater to individual styles and needs. The position includes comprehensive training phases, culminating in the opportunity to become a Pet Stylist in Training, where you will refine your skills and develop client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Provide bathing and grooming services to pets under the guidance of experienced groomers.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during their stay in the salon.
- Learn about different dog breeds and their grooming needs.
- Participate in a structured training program that includes classroom learning and hands-on experience.
- Build relationships with clients and advise on grooming styles and services.
Requirements
- Must be over the age of 18.
- Passion for working with pets and providing excellent customer service.
- Willingness to learn and participate in training programs.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in pet care or grooming is a plus but not required.
