About The Position

This position is located at the Sonoma Air Attack Base in Santa Rosa, CA. The incumbent will perform psychologically stressful and/or physically demanding duties consistent with firefighting, disaster response, and emergency medical response, including working in isolated areas, walking or running on uneven rough terrain, and remaining on duty 24 hours or longer without a break while performing these duties. The position requires the incumbent to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

• Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
• Possession of a valid driver license of the appropriate class issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform firefighting duties and emergency medical response.
• Respond to disasters and emergencies in various environments.
• Work in isolated areas and on uneven terrain.
• Remain on duty for extended periods without breaks.
