About the position
MaxPower Incorporated is seeking a motivated Battery Assembly and Test Technician to join their team. This entry-level position involves hands-on fabrication and assembly in a laboratory environment, focusing on battery research and development. The technician will be responsible for various tasks related to battery assembly, testing, and quality assurance, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on battery assembly and testing
- Cutting, punching, cleaning, welding
- Cell electrode preparation, winding, soldering, welding, and activation
- Handling and disposal of hazardous materials including strong acids, bases, and flammable solvents
- Implementation of in-process QA/QC
- Equipment maintenance
- Data entry
- Maintaining proper laboratory hygiene, safety, and recordkeeping
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in QA/QC
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with battery materials and chemistries
- Familiarity with safety protocols for hazardous materials
