The Battery Energy Storage Engineer / Analyst position at Southern Company Services is a pivotal role within the Technical Services organization, focusing on providing technical and project support for renewable energy projects, particularly in the area of energy storage. In this role, the engineer/analyst will serve on cross-functional project teams, collaborating with various stakeholders to plan and develop new energy storage projects. Responsibilities include developing reports, reviewing and editing technical specifications, and managing commercial documents. Building strong relationships with key contractors, vendors, and internal subject matter experts (SMEs) is crucial for the success of the projects. The position also involves providing technical, project, and construction management support, as well as participating in the development of engineering, construction, and major equipment contracts. The engineer/analyst will be responsible for general duties related to monthly reporting, schedule reviews, and cost tracking, as well as preparing presentations and data requests for meetings.
