About the position

As a Battery Management System (BMS) Engineer at Contemporary Amperex Technology USA Inc, you will play a crucial role in supporting site commissioning and operations with your expertise in BMS systems. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, CAN data logging, and conducting system analysis to ensure the effective performance of energy storage systems. You will be tasked with performing verification and validation of these systems to meet federally regulated guidelines concerning software performance, safety requirements, manufacturability, and functionality. This role requires you to lead the analysis of customer requirements and maintain BMS software configuration and integration, ultimately developing robust BMS solutions. In addition to commissioning utility-scale Energy Storage Systems, you will investigate problems, diagnose, and repair faults on-site. Your technical skills will be utilized to implement requirements using MATLAB/Simulink and C programming, as well as validating model-based designs through desktop simulation packages such as Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL). Collaboration with other teams will be essential as you develop control requirements and analyze field data to resolve issues related to model and code implementation. You will be expected to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively while utilizing tools like Vector CANoe and CANalyzer to log, playback, and analyze data from Electric Vehicle (EV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) applications, further identifying the root causes of BMS faults.
