About the position

The BCBA position at Burnett Therapeutic Services is designed for a qualified individual to provide clinical supervision and oversight of programs for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. The role involves developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with families and professionals to tailor ABA programs to meet specific client needs. The BCBA will also supervise mid-level supervisors and direct care staff, ensuring effective intervention strategies are in place to help clients achieve their treatment goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a wide range of ABA programs for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with families and professionals to tailor ABA programs to each client's specific needs.
  • Deliver individual and group learning experiences to assist clients in achieving treatment goals.
  • Train and supervise mid-level supervisors and direct care staff, providing guidance and reviewing progress on goals.
  • Conduct assessments, write treatment goals, analyze data, and write progress reports under the Clinical Director's supervision.
  • Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments using standardized tools under the Clinical Director's supervision.
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of behavioral plans for children.
  • Assist in developing adaptive skills for individuals to enhance their roles in various settings.
  • Provide behavioral consultation to families and schools.
  • Supervise ABA programs to help clients learn skills related to daily routines, coping, play, social interactions, and self-help.
  • Empower parents and caregivers to influence clients positively within their routines.
  • Establish and maintain supportive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Define target behaviors and write treatment goals while coordinating evidence-based programs.
  • Model and teach support staff how to implement intervention strategies and protocols.
  • Manage ABA session schedules for support staff and clients, adjusting as necessary.
  • Meet with families/caregivers weekly to review progress and consult on treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field.
  • BCBA Certification.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule, including afternoons and evenings.
  • Valid California Driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a clinical setting with children and adolescents.
  • Knowledge of various assessment tools such as VB-MAPP, ABBLS-R, and Vineland-III.
