About the position

The Business Development/Capture Manager for AWS will focus on the National Security Geospatial Intelligence market segments, shaping and delivering strategies to enhance the adoption of Amazon's cloud services. This role involves developing a multi-year pipeline of opportunities, overseeing bid strategies, and engaging with various stakeholders to drive business growth in the intelligence community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a multi-year pipeline of cloud-related opportunities with NatSec Geoint Sales teams.
  • Oversee implementation of bid strategies, proposal approaches, and technical solutions for RFx and IDIQ Contracts.
  • Collaborate with field and partner sales teams to drive business growth and best practices.
  • Engage in technical and business discussions with AWS colleagues, APN partners, and intelligence community customers.
  • Support account managers and solution architects in developing innovative cloud-based solutions and proposal win themes.
  • Identify bid opportunities through direct interactions with NatSec Geoint customers and industry forums.
  • Respond to RFx opportunities as a key member of the AWS Public Sector team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in shaping and responding to requests for proposals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable ability to win IT services or solutions related awards valued at $50M+ in the U.S. NatSec Space market.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
  • Account or large ($50M+) program management experience in the NatSec Space market.
  • Enterprise NatSec Space sales experience, including successful large program ($50M+) capture.
  • Deep understanding of government procurement and government contracts.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
