About the position

We operate over 150 dedicated cargo aircraft, including the Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99 from bases across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. As a Captain in the Beechcraft BE1900, you will typically operate flights 5 days per week, departing in the morning and returning in the evening. Lodging will be provided at the outstation, and schedules may vary depending on the base and flight. The base salary for this position is $87,006 annually. Ameriflight is a proud partner of the United Airlines Aviate Pilot Program and the UPS Flightpath Pathway Program, providing pilots with the ability to bid for specific bases, equipment, and domiciles. Additionally, pilots will enjoy jumpseat privileges with CASS partners, including major airlines such as American, Alaska, Allegiant, Atlas Air, FedEx, Frontier, Horizon, JSX, Omni Air, Southwest, Spirit, United, UPS, and more. Known Crew Member (KCM) privileges are also available. The company offers paid training, which includes transportation, lodging, and per diem, as well as company-paid Type-Rating Reimbursement for Pilot Medical Certificates (not retroactive to pre-hire). Medical, dental, and vision benefits are provided, along with company-provided life insurance and vacation time. The position also includes a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Beechcraft BE1900 flights safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure aircraft readiness.
  • Communicate effectively with ground control and other crew members during flights.
  • Maintain accurate flight logs and documentation.

Requirements

  • Must meet FAR 135.243(c) requirements for PIC in IFR conditions.
  • 1,800 total flight hours (TT).
  • 1,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • 500 hours cross-country (XC) flight time (defined as point to point).
  • 250 hours multi-engine flight time.
  • 100 hours turbine flight time.
  • 100 hours instrument flight time (50 must be in aircraft).
  • 100 hours night flight time.
  • Previous FAR 121/135 experience.
  • Instrument Proficiency Check or 121/135 recurrent within the past 6 months.
  • Commercial Pilot License multi-engine land with instrument rating, high performance, and complex endorsements.
  • First Class or Second Class Medical (First Class required for international operations).
  • FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted in and out of the U.S.
  • Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and meet all company insurance criteria.
  • Current Passport.
  • English proficient.
