About the position
The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) at Bealls & Burkes Outlet plays a crucial role in leading a team to enhance the guest experience and ensure operational excellence. The ASM is empowered to make decisions that positively impact store performance and guest satisfaction while fostering a culture of accountability and development among associates.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, selecting, and managing talent of a diverse range of associates
- Championing credit and loyalty programs to enhance guest shopping experience
- Executing and leading store merchandising direction and standards
- Utilizing business reports to guide decisions and hold self and others accountable
- Guiding operational accuracy, process, and workload efficiency
- Understanding and using company standard software, systems, and procedures
- Inspiring and motivating a team to deliver results through feedback and coaching
- Creating a sense of teamwork, collaboration, and engagement among associates
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- 1-2 years minimum of management experience preferred
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Utilization of Zebra PDA, POS Systems, Microsoft Office Programs, and Payroll/Scheduling Software
- Willingness to work varying hours and schedules including mid shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
