In this role, you will be expected to provide and role-model superior customer service while working closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and other Pharmacy Care Representatives to ensure excellent patient care. You will promote and foster the 'Greet, Ask, and Thank' and H-E-B telephone strategies, directing calls to the appropriate Partner. Your responsibilities will include receiving written prescriptions from customers, verifying demographic and profile-related information, processing prescriptions, and ensuring that all procedures are followed to deliver prescriptions to the correct patients. You will also assist with inventory management, compliance with HIPAA regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position requires a strong team orientation, a customer service attitude that positively impacts the Pharmacy's reputation, and a drive to self-motivate and work with little direct supervision. You will be expected to participate in various professional services activities, including immunization scheduling and medication therapy management events, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provides and role-models superior customer service
  • Works closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Care Representatives to provide excellent patient care
  • Promotes and fosters 'Greet, Ask, and Thank' and H-E-B telephone strategies
  • Receives written prescriptions from customers and verifies demographic information
  • Processes written prescriptions and refill numbers into RXEVO
  • Generates prescription-related paperwork and maintains prescriptions in the Will-Call area
  • Uses RXEVO at point of sale (POS) system to deliver prescriptions to correct patients
  • Directs customers to counseling window for Pharmacist consultation
  • Processes customer transactions at the register and maintains manual signature capture receipts
  • Ensures all prescription deliveries are finalized and prints RX delivery ledger daily
  • Completes contact patient queue and files/maintains prescription hard copies
  • Assists Technicians and Pharmacists to ensure complete, efficient production for the shift
  • Participates in Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, and medication therapy management events
  • Checks in and assists customers receiving vaccines using professional services apps
  • Receives OTC inventory and checks delivery for accuracy compared to invoices
  • Stages OTC inventory and complies with Return to Stock SOP
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations and TSBP rules
  • Maintains department and work area according to presentation and sanitation guidelines

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 (mandatory)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in retail; experience in pharmacy a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Completion of all required training and certification (e.g., PCR, RXEVO, HIPAA, FWA, MethGuard, diversity, ACR, H-E-B Screener certification, Company orientation)
  • Working knowledge of pharmacy-related tasks and H-E-B RXEVO system
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Mathematical skills (including calculating measurements)
  • PC skills, including MS Office and H-E-B software
  • Cash-handling skills
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations
  • Ability to demonstrate strong telephone etiquette
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision
  • Willingness to cross-train
