About the position

The Beauty Account Coordinator at Macy's is responsible for driving sales and enhancing the customer experience in the Cosmetics category. This role involves extensive product knowledge, training, and collaboration with store partners to elevate service standards. The coordinator will lead beauty events, analyze business results to identify sales opportunities, and empower beauty associates to excel in their roles. The position requires strong communication and leadership skills to foster a customer-centric culture and support the growth of the beauty department.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business results to identify and highlight sales-driving opportunities.
  • Communicate clear priorities, strategies, and direction to Division and store teams.
  • Collaborate with Regional Merchandise Execution, Beauty Field Directors, and Store partners to support growth.
  • Lead and participate in event execution, including corporate and promotional events.
  • Prepare for and follow up on store visits and pre-season planning meetings.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with vendors and communicate priorities and needs.
  • Direct and assess consistent execution based on national guidelines and standards.
  • Visit competitors to evaluate competitive opportunities and communicate findings.
  • Encourage self and others to challenge the status quo with forward-thinking strategies.
  • Drive excellent service and selling by reinforcing a customer-centric culture among Beauty Advisors.
  • Work closely with Beauty Managers to set coaching priorities for the department.
  • Support leaders in training store colleagues and ensure completion of education requirements.
  • Recognize store team performance during visits and connect brand success with overall growth.
  • Support the onboarding of new Beauty Leaders and Beauty Advisors.
  • Support Store Leadership in hiring and recruiting Beauty team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of management experience in a retail store, preferably in beauty.
  • Proficient in analyzing business results at various levels.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying priorities and strategies.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and participate in event execution.
  • Leadership skills to empower Beauty associates and drive multi-brand selling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in beauty retail management.
  • Familiarity with clienteling techniques using MyClient.
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising standards.
