About the position

As a Beauty Advisor at Sephora, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and assisting customers to become the best version of themselves. This position encourages you to explore your creativity and build emotional connections with customers while helping them discover the extensive beauty selection available. Your role will involve creating a welcoming environment for customers, listening to their unique needs, and providing personalized recommendations based on your knowledge of iconic beauty brands. You will also be responsible for introducing customers to Sephora's loyalty programs, including the credit card and Beauty Insider, to enhance their shopping experience. In addition to creating amazing customer experiences, you will support the overall success of the store. This includes maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment, contributing to sales goals, and participating in special events and promotions. You will be involved in inventory control, ensuring compliance with sampling policies, and participating in loss prevention programs. Responsibilities

  • Provide a welcoming environment for customers by listening to and embracing their unique needs.
  • Unleash creativity, passion, and knowledge of iconic brands during customer interactions.
  • Suggest and sell products and services to clients in all areas of the store.
  • Introduce customers to the credit card and Beauty Insider loyalty programs.
  • Maintain a clean and stocked store to create a beautiful first impression.
  • Contribute to store sales goals and share knowledge of Sephora's policies and standards.
  • Support special events, promotions, and priorities as they arise.
  • Participate in inventory control and ensure compliance with sampling policies.
  • Engage in programs to reduce loss and be knowledgeable of cashier functions.

Requirements

  • A passion for client service and love working with people.
  • Knowledge about what's new and trending in beauty.
  • A track record of building relationships with customers and team members.
  • Resilience and the ability to react to situations in-the-moment and stay aware of changing store priorities.
  • Prior experience working in retail sales or services industries.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to multitask.
  • Comfortability with computer/store systems.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Flexible availability to work during peak retail hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend/stretch to stock shelves, and stand/walk the sales floor for an entire shift.
  • Ability to work in a fragrance-filled environment and handle/apply cosmetics products to clients, with or without accommodation.
  • Adherence to Sephora's dress code and policies in the Sephora Employee Handbook.
