The Beauty Advisor at Saks Fifth Avenue is a pivotal role focused on delivering an elevated client experience in the beauty department. The Beauty Advisor will engage with clients, providing personalized assistance that not only enhances their shopping experience but also helps achieve set sales goals. This role is essential in fostering a positive shopping environment and building lasting relationships with clients. As a Beauty Advisor, you will be responsible for achieving and exceeding individual cosmetic sales goals, as well as contributing to the overall success of the department by meeting daily and monthly sales targets. You will maintain a dynamic service presence, actively engaging with clients to identify their needs through skilled questioning and consultation. Your expertise in professional makeup application and treatment consultations will be crucial in guiding clients to the right products and services. In addition to direct client interactions, the Beauty Advisor will leverage social media platforms, such as Instagram, to grow their personal brand and business. This includes actively participating in online clienteling and utilizing technology to maintain client information and preferences. The role demands a commitment to maintaining high standards of service, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment, and acting as a liaison between the company and Account Executives. Overall, the Beauty Advisor is expected to provide an exceptional client experience from the initial approach to the final sale and follow-up, ensuring that every client feels valued and satisfied with their experience.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on achieving and exceeding individual Cosmetic sales goals, event sales goals, and department daily & monthly sales goals.
  • Provide a dynamic service presence to each location.
  • Skilled at asking appropriate questions to identify a client's needs in order to effectively provide them guidance or directions.
  • Actively participate on social media to grow personal brand and business.
  • Demonstrate professional make-up and treatment consultation and application.
  • Maintain a consistent high level of service by creating and developing excellent client relationships as the brand expert and department representative.
  • Cross sell beyond one line to drive results and build the client's basket.
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable on all in-store services and proactively offers the appropriate service to a client to further personalize and enhance their shopping experience.
  • Maintain a positive image as a liaison between the company and Account Executives.
  • Utilize online clienteling resource tool to record and maintain client information and preferences to drive business.
  • Focus all efforts on providing an exceptional client experience from approach, to application, to closing the sale and following up with the client.
  • Maintain counter standards by ensuring a clean, tidy and welcoming space.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year retail experience in the Beauty industry.
  • Previously demonstrated successful sales experience, achieving or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to learn and utilize online clienteling tools and software.
  • Comfortable using social media and technology.
