About the position

The Bed and Breakfast Innkeeper position at our charming, locally-owned establishment in Monticello, FL, involves providing exceptional service to guests while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This contract role offers flexible hours and requires a reliable and energetic individual to manage housekeeping tasks, assist with breakfast service, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparing guest rooms between stays, including changing linens, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Maintaining common areas such as the lobby, dining room, and hallways in a clean and tidy condition throughout the day.
• Helping prepare and serve a light breakfast to guests each morning, including setting up and cleaning up after breakfast.
• Assisting guests with any special requests and ensuring they have an enjoyable stay.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and other common spaces.
• Assisting with laundry and replenishing amenities as needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality is preferred, but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be flexible and able to handle varying schedules and tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Must be physically able to perform cleaning tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hotel management (1 year required).
• Experience in hospitality (1 year preferred).
• Ability to relocate to Monticello, FL before starting work (preferred).
