About the position

The Brewery Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting products from Sterling Pig Brewery to various locations, including restaurants, bars, and distributors. This role requires excellent driving skills, customer service, and the ability to work independently while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks, Ford transit van, and fork-lift.
• Safely and efficiently deliver brewery products (including kegs, cases, and other supplies) to customers within designated delivery routes.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring products are handled with care and securely loaded.
• Lift heavy items (up to 160lbs) as part of the loading and unloading process.
• Verify the accuracy of deliveries and maintain proper documentation (e.g., delivery receipts, logs).
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers at delivery locations.
• Maintain and keep delivery vehicles (van/truck) clean, both inside and out, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
• Take responsibility for routine maintenance and basic vehicle upkeep, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and ensuring the vehicle is in safe working condition.
• Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines and optimize routes.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Maintain a clean driving record and follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines.
• Oversee the organization of beer pallets, ensuring proper storage and rotation of inventory.
• Assemble and prepare pallets for weekly deliveries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Regularly inspect warehouse layout and address any organization or maintenance needs to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a similar industry (food & beverage, wholesale, etc.).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering a positive customer experience.
• Capable of lifting up to 160lbs.
