Responsibilities

• Support assigned students as determined by their individualized education plan (IEP).
• Provide customized behavior support and teach valuable life skills.
• Assist in the development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans and track data on behaviors and progress.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management as necessary.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for social and behavioral skill development.
• Supervise students and ensure they are monitored at all times.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for consistent implementation of behavior support plans.
• Provide personal care support based on student needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.
