About the position

The Behavior Analyst position at Active Steps is a part-time, hybrid role focused on providing behavioral health services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The role emphasizes a hands-off approach and positive programming, allowing for flexibility in work arrangements while making a significant impact on the lives of children with developmental disabilities. The Behavior Analyst will develop and implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, and collaborate with clinical teams to ensure effective interventions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and verbal behavior assessments.
• Design and oversee the implementation of individualized language, play, and skill-based curricula.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to provide cohesive and effective interventions.
• Supervise and mentor BCBA candidates, enhancing the quality and reach of services.

Requirements

• Master's/Doctorate degree in Psychology or related field with valid BCBA certification.
• Deep understanding of ABA principles and ethical standards.
• Proven experience in 1:1 educational settings and managing data-driven programs.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor future BCBAs.
• Experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required).
• Experience with children.
• Organized and efficient, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
